The work the studio does
Everything happens in one room in Shela: the rail, the fitting, the workroom. When we hire, it is for one of these.
Tailoring and finishing
Cutting and stitching to measurement, fittings, alterations, hand-finished hems and edges. Chaniya choli and blouse work especially.
Embroidery and handwork
Mirror work, gamthi, gota patti, repairs to old pieces. Hand skill matters more than speed.
Styling and the counter
Helping customers choose, taking measurements, running fittings, answering WhatsApp with straight answers about price and timing.
Photos and Instagram
Shooting pieces on the rail and on people, reels, captions, replying to comments. Most customers arrive from Instagram.
