Haggler Studio opened in September 2026 in Shela, Ahmedabad. We sell festive and everyday wear, stitch to your measurements, and alter what you already own — so one outfit does not need three different shops.
Who we are
Haggler Studio is a women’s fashion studio in Shela, Ahmedabad, founded by Jainam Shah and opened in September 2026. We work across Chaniya Choli and Navratri wear, women’s ethnic wear and tops, and we stitch and alter in the same room we sell from.
The studio started from a simple, tiring problem: you buy an outfit in one place, find a tailor in another, and neither of them is responsible for how it finally looks on you. Here the person who sells you the piece is the person who fits it. If the fall is wrong, there is nobody to blame but us — which is exactly the point.
We are new, and we would rather say that plainly than pretend to a decade we have not had. What we can promise is the part that does not depend on age: honest answers about fabric, measurements taken properly, and a fitting before anything is finished.

The name
What is a haggler?
Hindi: mol-bhaav. Gujarati: bhaav-taal. The best quality at the best price — the way our mothers bought clothes.
A haggler is someone who bargains for the price — and in India that word belongs to our mothers. Think of her at the cloth market, the week before a wedding or Navratri: she does not look at the tag first. She rubs the fabric between finger and thumb, holds it to the light, turns the piece inside out and reads the seams, counts the kali in the chaniya, tugs a mirror to see if it moves, asks whether the zari is real. Only then does the talk about money begin — and by then she knows exactly what the piece is worth.
That is the skill. Not getting the cheapest thing, but paying the right price for the best thing on the rail, and never letting the price talk her into a weaker fabric or a lazy stitch. Every family has one. It is how a generation bought clothes that lasted twenty years and are still worn today.
The studio is named for her, and it does her job for you. The fabric is checked before it is bought, the cut is argued over before it is stitched, the fit is fixed before the piece leaves the room — by people who stand behind it when you dance. The price on the site is the price, and it is the one she would have got.

How we work
Fit comes before everything
A well-cut outfit in a plain fabric beats an expensive one that pulls at the shoulder. If something will not sit right on you, we say so before you pay for it.
WhatsApp is the counter
Photos, measurements, quotes and fitting times all happen on WhatsApp. You do not have to visit the studio to get a straight answer about price or timing.
Honest about fabric
We will tell you when a reference photo relies on a fabric that behaves differently from the one in your hand — before it is cut, not after.
Finishing is not optional
Hems, linings, hooks and edges are finished by hand. It is the step most places skip and the one you feel every time you wear the piece.

- Yes. Measurements can be taken at the studio, or we can work from a garment that already fits you well. Every custom piece gets a trial fitting before it is finished, and your measurements stay on file for the next order.
- Can you alter clothes I bought somewhere else?
- Yes. Alterations are not limited to garments bought from us. Send a photo of the piece and one line about what is wrong, and we can usually quote it over WhatsApp without a visit.
- How long does a custom outfit take?
- It depends on the piece and the season, so we quote it per order. Tell us the date you need it for, and we will say honestly whether it is possible.
